Seniors play an important part in our community everyday, so it`s natural for the state fair to recognize them one day. The Senior Day Festival took place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Hundreds of seniors gathered for an ice cream social, visited with 30 different vendors, and listened to live entertainment.
"The fair really likes to show how much seniors mean to us. We have a whole day dedicated to them, it`s senior day. We throw a big festival in our upper atrium of our state fair center," said Ashley Marburger, North Dakota State Fair assistant marketing director.
Over 700 seniors turned out for Thursday’s festival. |
